Our Oceans are Dying!!
88% of the Earth's Ocean is polluted with plastic. The biggest culprits of ocean pollution are us, humans. Marine debris is any type of waste that has been improperly disposed in a sea by humans. Plastic bags take 20 years to decompose, plastic bottles take 450 years and fishing rods 600. Being in the ocean for this long marine life are bound to be affected. About 700 marine species are expected to go extinct, if we continue polluting our oceans.

You don't live in a dirty home and neither should animals. But, if you won't clean up for marine life, do it for yourself.

Ocean pollution does not only affect marine animals but it also affects humans too. Pollution on the beach can cause serious reactions and illness just by physical contact or ingesting the water. Toxins from plastic can cause anything from hormonal problems, reproductive problems and nervous system damage to Alzhemer's or Parkinson's disease. We rely on oceans much more than we realize. For example, ocean dependent businesses employ 3 million people and generate $282 billion in goods and services. Also, oceans produce 50% of the world's oxygen and regulate our climate by transporting heat from the equator to the north and south poles. On more nonessential terms, with a polluted sea we cant go to our favorite beaches.... no one wants to swim in a sea of plastic.
